Heusinkveld Sprint Pedals (Clutch Only)
The Sprint pedals are perfect for you! A strong, accurate, and customizable pedal set designed to elevate your race pace. If you’re looking for pedals that help you to be both quick and consistent, look no further.
Heusinkveld Handbrake offers performance and control. Using a force sensitive 120kg load cell the Handbrake is strong and can handle high forces.
Built with high-quality materials, the Handbrake is designed to withstand rigorous use, offering long-lasting durability even under intense simracing conditions. Its solid construction ensures it remains stable and reliable during long simracing sessions. The design is compact, making it easy to mount it on your simulator.
The Heusinkveld Handbrake features a wide range of mechanical adjustments. All adjustments enable you to fine-tune the handbrake to suit your driving style or the specific car you’re simulating. Perfect for those simracerg seeking a competitive edge.
The Handbrake features:
A 2-stage spring system provides resistance when pulling the lever
An initial metal coil spring simulates the pad-to-disc gap and/or slack on the handbrake cable
Elastomers, providing a unprecedented progressive brake feel
The main loading on the brake is simulated by compressing the elastomers. These elastomers give an incredible brake feel. A total of 3 elastomers are provided inside the package. These 3 elastomers enable you to set a soft, medium or stiff handbrake feeling. Making sure you discover the brake feel you like the most to attack every corner.
To change the position of the Handbrake, you can choose to change the lever. The lever can be set in a horizontal or vertical position. Per position there is a fine-tune adjustment up to 26 degrees to set the exact position of the lever.
If you use the included optional adapter plate, you have up to 22,5 degrees of freedom to set the yaw of the handbrake. This can greatly enhance the ergonomics of your simulator, allowing you to pull the handbrake straight towards you from a multitude of mounting positions.
Heusinkveld Handbrake can be mounted in 2 different ways:
The first option is to use the 4 mounting holes on the base itself (2 on each side), which allow you to mount the handbrake to a flat surface
The second option is to use the included optional adapter plate. This allows you to easily mount the handbrake to aluminium profiles (aluminium profiles not included). An added advantage is the yaw adjustment, allowing you to offset the yaw of the handbrake base up to 22,5 degrees. Making sure it fits ergonomically correct on your simulator.
The electronics of the handbrake are integrated inside the handbrake base. The system as a whole has passed EMC compliance testing, guaranteeing a stable output signal. A USB cable is supplied with every handbrake in order to connect it to your pc.
The lever uses a 120kg load cell, resulting in up to 22kg of actual force measured at the lever. The measurement of the handbrake force is linear. Using Heusinkveld SmartControl software, you have complete freedom to set custom non-linear output curves.

SmartControl:
Our Heusinkveld Sprint pedals come with a powerful configuration tool allowing you to set up your pedals in ways not previously possible: SmartControl. Working together with our own electronics platform, SmartControl allows for instant mapping of (non-linear) pedal output curves, pedal deadzones and brake pedal force.
These adjustments can be made without having to recalibrate the pedals (including iRacing). All settings can be saved into profiles, which can be loaded again in a few mouse clicks.
SmartControl Live:
Heusinkveld SmartControl Live is an innovative software tool to adjust your controller settings to your own preferenceswhile driving.Activate SmartControl profiles for different cars and classes at the touch of a button, without having to leave the simulator software.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The mounting dimensions for the Sprint pedals are shown in the diagram below. This way you can easily check this yourself. If the mounting dimensions of the pedals don’t match those of your pedal plate, you might consider using the Heusinkveld SprintBaseplate (Link).
The Heusinkveld Sprint pedals are connected directly to your PC with a USB A-B cable(included). This way, the pedals work directly with your PC, regardless of other sim racing hardware.
The Heusinkveld Sprint pedals are designed to have a minimum of wear, tear and noise. A good service interval would be every 100 hours of use. Please see the Manual on how to do Maintenance on your Sprint pedals(Link).
At this moment we do not have additional accessories.
The Heusinkveld Sprint pedals allow for a large range o settings to set the resistance of your brake. This is done by varying the total length of the elastomers in the brake rubber stack and/or the hardness of the elastomer. A total of 6 resistance settings are available, allowing the brake pedal to be adjusted up to 65kg.
The Pedals can be calibrated by our software called SmartControl(Link)/Video Tutorial. Once the pedals are calibrated, assign them in your favourite game/sim and you are ready to race!
No, the Heusinkveld Sprint pedals are only compatible with Windows PCs and does not work with consoles.
In terms of brake stiffness, a general rule of thumb is that a quicker, high downforce car has a stiffer brake pedal compared to a slower, low downforce car. The following recommendations can therefore be a good baseline when finding a brake setup which suits you:
• F1, GP2, F3, Indycar, LMP: 1x soft or hard 19mm elastomer.
• GT cars, Nascar, Rally: 1x soft 28mm elastomer.
• Road cars: 1x soft 19mm + 1x soft 28mm elastomer.
Cars with high downforce typically require very sudden, very hard brake application at the end of a straight. A stiff, barely moving pedal is easier to operate this way than a long soft pedal. Physically moving your foot always takes time, so the stiffer the pedal is, the quicker you can build up braking force. Road cars or softly sprung stock cars on the other hand may benefit from a slightly slower brake force buildup. Weight transfer takes more time in these cars, and the front tires will lock up if your braking force grows quicker than the weight transfer.
It’s important to keep in mind that even for similar cars there can be large variations in the brake feel, depending for example on the size of the hydraulic brake cylinders.
Also, the Sim Pedals Sprint can handle a maximum brake force of 65kg. While this may be enough for lower junior formula cars, road cars and slower GT cars, typically quick formula cars and top- level GT cars require higher peak brake forces. You will therefore not be able to simulate 1:1 brake forces for all race cars with the Sprint pedals.
