Upgrade your compatible Fanatec Steering Wheel to the QR2 system with the Fanatec QR2 Wheel-Side.
Built from diecast aluminium with CNC-machined surfaces and a black anodised finish, the QR2 Wheel-Side delivers a robust and durable connection between your Steering Wheel and Wheel Base.
Its motorsport-derived mechanical design uses a tapered shape and spring-loaded locking pin mechanism to create a tight, secure fit without additional locking parts or adjustments. The self-aligning connection also helps keep the electrical contacts protected.
Simply bring your steering wheel toward a QR2-equipped Wheel Base and push it into place without operating the spring-loaded sleeve. Power and data are transferred directly between your Fanatec Steering Wheel and Wheel Base through the quick-release connection.

UPGRADE YOUR FANATEC STEERING WHEEL TO QR2
The QR2 Wheel-Side is designed for compatible Fanatec Steering Wheels with an exchangeable quick release. To use a Steering Wheel fitted with the QR2 Wheel-Side, your Wheel Base must also be equipped with a QR2 Base-Side. The QR2 Wheel-Side connects to all QR2 Base-Side variants. Wheel Bases listed as requiring a QR2 upgrade must be upgraded before use.

TRACK-DEVELOPED PERFORMANCE
The QR2 mechanical coupling was developed for use in real-world motorsport. It was originally used in the 2022 BMW M4 GT3 race car and has since seen further improvements for sim racing. The Pro variant (available here) is designed for use in future motorsport applications.
