Magshift is a GT-style sequential shifter with patented magnetic mechanism. The compact base-unit houses the innovative magnetic shift system. This shift system simulates the feel of an actual gear clicking into place. The result is a sharp, satisfying “clunk” when shifting. Due to the magnetic technology, the MagShift eliminates wear parts. This results in a product that maintains consistent performance over time, even with heavy use (tested for 1 million duty cycles).
The shifter’s shape is remarkably compact, allowing it to fit into a variety of racing setups without taking up unnecessary space.

Adjustment options
The magnetic shift system is 3-way adjustable. The overall force, upshift and downshift can all be set individually. This allows you to set a firm upshift and soft downshift for example to simulate a specific car or simply because you drive at your best pace.
Set your preferred peak force anywhere between 4.5 and 11kg. At the firmest setting you’ll be able to simulate the shifter forces as experienced in real race cars.
Mini button box
Besides the realistic shift feel, MagShift is also a mini button box. Whether you’re rally racing, competing in endurance events, or simulating F1, the buttons can adapt to your specific needs.
The 3 buttons can be assigned to any available function in your favourite simulator software. Such as activating car systems (e.g., lights, wipers, pit limiter) or engaging secondary functions like handbrakes or launch control. Extra functions can be unlocked when you install Heusinkveld SmartControl software. Read more in the SmartControl section.
The buttons are built with tactile feedback in mind, providing a satisfying “click” when pressed, ensuring reliable operation even under pressure. The location of the buttons is strategically placed, to be easily accessible during racing without interfering with the primary shifting action. Their positioning ensures quick and intuitive operation, reducing the need to reach for controls elsewhere.

A sequential shifter is not strictly necessary for sim racing, but it can enhance the experience, especially if you enjoy realism or are focused on certain types of racing. Whether you need one depends on the kind of racing you do:
- Rally or Off-Road Racing: For games like Dirt Rally or WRC, a sequential shifter can be a great addition, as many rally cars use sequential gearboxes. It gives a more authentic feel when shifting through gears.
- Touring or GT Racing: In racing games like iRacing or Assetto Corsa, some cars use sequential gearboxes. Having a sequential shifter can provide a more realistic feel when driving these cars, as it mimics the actual shifting mechanism.
- Formula or Open-wheel Racing: These cars typically use paddle shifters instead of sequential gearboxes. In these cases, a sequential shifter is unnecessary, and paddle shifters or a traditional H- pattern shifter would suffice if you prefer a more realistic
setup. - Personal Preference: If you enjoy the tactile feeling of shifting gears manually, a sequential shifter can add a lot of immersion, especially if you prefer racing cars that use
them in real life.

To adjust the force required for up/down shifting: Insert 2 torx keys (6) simultaneously into adjustment bolts (one on each side). Turn counterclockwise to Loosen the screws. Leave both hex keys inserted move adjustment slider to new position. Make sure the slider sits straight Re-tighten the screws. Do not overtighten.
