Apevie Simulator 5-Point Harness
A 4-point harness uses two shoulder straps and two lap straps. A 5-point harness adds a fifth anti-submarine strap between the legs, which stops you from sliding forward under the lap belt and holds you deeper in the seat. The 5-point is what real GT and formula cars use, so it delivers the most authentic feel — especially on motion simulators where the rig actually moves you around.
It fits most racing simulator seats and cockpits, including our Apevie X1 Carbon Fiber, X1-R, and AS-M3 seats. Your seat needs shoulder-strap pass-through openings and mounting points for the lap and anti-submarine straps — nearly all bucket-style sim racing seats have these. If you're unsure about a third-party seat, contact our team before ordering.
The harness includes quick-release snap-hook attachments that bolt to your cockpit's harness bar or seat mounting points. The shoulder straps route through the openings in the seat back, the lap straps anchor at the sides, and the anti-submarine strap anchors below the seat.
No. This harness is designed for racing simulators only. It is not FIA or SFI certified and must never be used as a safety restraint in a road car, race car, or any moving vehicle. Its purpose is immersion, positioning, and comfort in a stationary or motion simulator.
Yes — it's ideal for motion rigs. Keeping your body locked into the seat is what lets you feel the platform's movement as vehicle behavior rather than getting shifted around. Every Apevie motion turnkey package ships with a harness for exactly this reason. Pair it with a Qubic System QS-BT1 belt tensioner to add active braking and g-force pull.
Yes. The 3-inch straps spread the load across a wider area than narrow belts, and the extra sewn-in shoulder padding prevents pressure points and rubbing during multi-hour stints. The quick-adjust pull tabs let you fine-tune the tension without unbuckling.
Yes. The lightweight adjustable buckle system and quick-adjust pull tabs make it fast to resize between drivers, which is why this harness is a good fit for sim centers, esports venues, and household setups with several racers.
