Frequently Asked Questions

01

What does a sim racing seat slider do?

It lets you move the seat forward and back on rails instead of leaving it bolted in one fixed position. That means you can dial in your distance to the pedals and wheel, and — more importantly for shared rigs — change drivers in seconds without pulling out tools.

02

Which seats is the Apevie Seat Slider compatible with?

It's a universal slider that fits most aftermarket racing seats using side mounts, bottom mounts, or a base bracket — including NRG and Sparco seats and our own Apevie X1 Carbon Fiber, X1-R, and AS-M3 seats.

03

Do I need seat brackets as well?

Usually yes. The slider is the moving rail assembly; the Apevie Seat Brackets connect your seat and slider to the cockpit frame. Most builds use both together. If you're not sure what your setup needs, send us your seat and cockpit model and we'll confirm.

04

Will it fit an Apevie cockpit?

Yes. It's designed to work with our RTR V2 and SP Cockpit aluminum extrusion frames, and it's cross-compatible across the Apevie seat and mounting line.

05

Is a seat slider worth it if only one person uses the rig?

Even for a single driver, yes — it makes it easy to fine-tune your seating position while you're dialing in a new pedal set, wheel angle, or cockpit layout, without unbolting anything. And it makes getting in and out easier on a tight rig.

06

Does it hold up on a motion simulator?

Yes. The slider locks positively in position once set, so it stays put under motion. Sim centers and multi-driver households benefit most, since drivers of different heights can share one rig.

07

How is it adjusted?

A release lever unlocks the rails so you can slide the seat forward or back, then locks it in the new position — the same mechanism used in a real car seat.
