Frequently Asked Questions

01

What extrusion size do these corner brackets fit?

They're made for 4040 series aluminum extrusion — 40x40 mm profiles. The brackets themselves measure 38 x 38 mm. If your cockpit or frame uses a different profile size, these won't fit; contact our team and we'll point you to the right hardware.

02

What are corner brackets used for on a sim racing rig?

They join two lengths of aluminum extrusion at a 90-degree angle and lock that joint rigid. Rigidity is what stops a cockpit from flexing under heavy braking and strong force feedback — flex kills the detail you feel through the wheel, so bracing the joints properly is one of the cheapest ways to improve a rig.

03

Which pack size should I buy?

Packs of 10, 20, and 50 are available. Ten covers a small repair or a single add-on like a monitor arm or button box mount. Twenty suits reinforcing an existing cockpit. Fifty is the practical choice for building a full custom frame from scratch or outfitting multiple rigs at a sim center.

04

Do these work on Apevie cockpits?

Yes, on any Apevie build using 4040 profile. Note that our RTR V2 uses 160x40 mm profile and the SP Cockpit uses 80x40 mm for their main chassis rails — these brackets are for 4040 sections and accessory mounting rather than those main beams.

05

Is mounting hardware included?

Check the pack contents at checkout, and contact us if you also need T-nuts and bolts — we'll make sure you get everything for your build in one order.

06

What is the finish?

Black anodized, which resists corrosion and matches the anodized aluminum used across Apevie cockpits for a consistent look.

07

Can I use them for non-simulator projects?

Yes. They're standard heavy-duty 4040 brackets used in industrial framing, workbenches, enclosures, and custom fabrication — the sim racing use case is just the most common one for us.
